MotionArt

How can we help?

Everything about making clips with MotionArt, from your first prompt to your plan.

Getting started

Do I need any design or video skills?

None. If you can describe it, you can make it. MotionArt handles the layout, type, colours and timing.

What can I make with it?

Anything that works as a short animated graphic: sale announcements, countdowns, grand openings, launches, animated charts, invitations, quote cards and intros. It's built for text, shapes and graphics, not realistic video footage.

How do I make my first clip?

Type what you want in the prompt box on the home page, pick a format and press Generate. You'll be asked to sign up (it takes a few seconds) and then land in the studio with your idea already running.

What do I get for free?

One prompt after you sign up. You'll see the finished clip with a preview watermark; downloading needs the trial or a plan.

How long does a clip take?

Usually well under a minute. The studio shows progress while it renders, and you can start writing your next prompt in the meantime.

How is this different from AI video generators?

AI video tools generate pixels, which is why words often come out garbled and results are hard to fix. MotionArt builds your animation from real parts (actual type, shapes and colours), so text is spelled right, edges stay sharp, and any detail can be changed by asking.

Writing good prompts

What should I put in a prompt?

Say what it's for, the exact words you want on screen, and the mood. For example: “Grand opening for Luna Coffee this Saturday, first cup free, cozy and warm.” One sentence is plenty; extra detail helps.

How do I get my exact wording on screen?

Write it exactly as it should appear, capitals and punctuation included. Put it in quotes if it could be mistaken for an instruction. MotionArt sets real type, so what you write is what you get.

Can I use my brand colours?

Yes. Name them (“navy and coral”) or paste hex codes like #1A2B3C, and mention your font if you have one in mind.

Can I add my logo or an image?

Yes. Attach a PNG, JPEG, GIF or WebP image (up to 5 MB) to your prompt and say how to use it, for example “put our logo in the corner”.

Where can I find prompt ideas?

The examples pages show real prompts and the clips they made, grouped by what you're making (product launches, logo reveals, social posts, sales, invitations, birthdays, quotes and more) and by mood, with prompts you can run as-is.

Editing your clip

Can I change it after it's made?

Yes. Tell it what to change, like “bigger text”, “slower” or “make it green”, and it re-renders. Each change uses one prompt, so put a few in one message.

Does asking for a change use up a prompt?

Yes. Every change re-renders the whole clip, so it uses one prompt, just like a new clip. Put several changes in one message (“slower, bigger title, and make it green”) to get the most from each prompt. If a change fails to render, it doesn't count.

Can I change just one moment?

Yes. Select a point or a stretch on the timeline before you describe the change, and MotionArt leaves the rest of the clip as it is.

Can I go back to an earlier version?

Yes. Each change makes a new version and the earlier ones stay watchable in the studio.

Why 15 seconds?

It's the sweet spot for Reels, Stories, TikTok and ads: long enough to say something, short enough that people watch to the end.

Formats & downloads

What do I get at the end?

An MP4 in 9:16, 16:9, 1:1 or 4:5, ready to post anywhere.

Which format should I pick?

9:16 for Reels, TikTok, Shorts and Stories. 1:1 for most feeds. 4:5 for Instagram and LinkedIn feeds, where it takes up the most room. 16:9 for YouTube, websites and slides.

What resolution are downloads?

1080p on every plan, and 4K on Pro and Studio.

Is there a watermark?

Only on the free preview. The trial and every paid plan download without a watermark.

Plans & billing

How does the $1 trial work?

You pay $1 and get 5 prompts, with no watermark and downloads, for 24 hours. After 24 hours, or if you run a 6th prompt sooner (we'll ask first), it becomes the Starter plan at $15 a month. Cancel any time before then and you won't be charged again.

What plans are there?

Starter ($15, 25 prompts), Creator ($29, 75 prompts), Pro ($59, 200 prompts), Studio ($129, 600 prompts), all per month. Every plan downloads without a watermark in every format.

What counts as a prompt?

Every new clip you generate and every change you ask for on a clip, since both are a fresh render. A render that fails doesn't count. Prompts reset at the start of each billing month and don't roll over.

Can I change plans?

Yes, any time from the Billing page. You'll see exactly what you'll be charged before you confirm.

How do I cancel?

Open Billing from your account menu and choose Cancel. You keep your plan until the end of the period you've paid for, and you can undo the cancellation until then.

What happens if I run out of prompts?

The studio lets you know. You can move up a plan from the Billing page, or wait for your prompts to refill at the start of your next billing month.
